Am I overreacting? I think I am...?

I am uber afraid of being touched and I flinch whenever someone hits me or throws something at me, as my mother beat me once. I am still upset, but do I have a right to be? I mean, I know it's not that bad, because there are so many worse off than me, but am I being selfish when I am still afraid of being hit?
