I need help with an old micro controller?

So I have kenwood Kt-594 stereo. I want to do some tinkering but I'm stuck. The chip in it is a Sony CXP5016. I found a data sheet for it but I have no clue what to use to program it. I don't know if I could use my serial to ttl adapter or if I need a board and what kind if I do. Also have no clue how to access the info once it's connected to the computer. Normally I would use google, but I'm getting nothing but the data sheet from it. Please assist.
