Is it my computer or my internet?

We got a new modem from Comcast today. Got it all set up, but now my computer is running like crap. Videos won't load. Downloads get stuck or fail. I did a factory reset but kept some files because they wouldn't fit on the external. So is my computer uber screwed? Or is my internet the issue?
