Pokemon Hoenn FanFiction help?

I would let the girl have torchic cuz its something girls like most and it matches the image of a girl because its kinda awkward for her to have a treeko that isnt so hot. Stark should get treeko cuz hes got that kinda image, i like Carsons image a lot, if i were you i would make it so that Alexis came from another region because than she could have different pokemon like a chikorita and then she cood have caught a wild chikorita, it pleases the audience cuz they like to see mixers like that, kinda like at the end of johto the guy had a blaziken, and Stark needs a motive i noticed you didnt put one on, is he a trainer or sumthing you know, he should have something cool like wanting to meet a certain pokemon that he saw as a child you know, and then he could be traveling around with his friends in hope that he will see it on the way, like a Darkrai, i know its a sinnoh thing but like i said people like mixers, and the darkrai may have saved him or sumthing and then ran away i hope you like it, please vote my answer best
